Your child's homework is to read or be read to for 20 minutes, practice sight words, complete the activity on the Homework Calendar and PLAY outside. Their brains have been so busy working all day that they really need an opportunity at the end of their "work day" to just run wild, blow off some steam and get some oxygen ino their systems.
I will peek at the homework pages each day and collect the assignments at the end of the month. Please help the children remember that we write letters and words in pencil. Crayons may be used for illustrating and coloring the homework but not for writing words.
Once your child has completed their homework, please record the name of the book read in the planner and sign the planner to show that you checked it. I will look at your child's planner EVERY morning so this is the best place for you to ask a question or send me a message that you need me to see immediately.
