Hello everyone! What a busy new year it has been so far! I wanted to check with everyone and make sure you got the message about volunteer hours and about filling out your letter of intent for next year. I hope to see all of "my kids" here next year as first graders so please take care of these obligations so this can happen! :)
I have a few wish list items and jobs that would help better organize some of our materials. Maybe you have some of these items around your home that you are no longer using or you may be you would be willing to purchase something for our class as a donation. Did you know that you can turn in receipts for purchases that you have made for the class and take care of some of your volunteer hours?
Here are some of the wishes:
New or used is great!
Rolling drawer storage carts.... 4 of these would be great! (links are just an example of what I'm looking for)

Plastic shoe boxes (for library books/manipulatives) any amount would be great these are always useful
These magazine files would be great for keeping journals and folders organized:

We currently have one bookcase for the class library would love to have a few more bookcases, this would allow the books to be organized in a way that the kids know where each book belongs when it's time to clean up
One of our families donated beautiful wood shelves but we need brackets to mount them... So brackets would be great :)
Then once we have some brackets I'll be looking for someone to install the brackets
Remember I am always looking for more of the fcrr.org games just print one make it and send it in... The kids love it when we get new ones!
The cubbies in the room are great and hold all of our learning tools... Anyone interested in making or installing curtains to cover the contents?
And as always you are always welcome to come on in and spend time with us and pitch in!
Thank you so much for all you do for our classroom. The kids and I are quite fortunate and very grateful :)
Heather
